"Place of Noise"

Wahiawa, Hawaii is located in the small Wahiawa District of the City and County of Overlooking Wahiawa real estate.Honolulu, in the center of the island of Oahu. It seems to have received its name from the sound of the heavy surf on the distant coast. It is surrounded on three sides by Lake Wilson, also known as Wahiawa Reservoir or Kaukonahua. The town can only be accessed by two bridges along Kamehameha Highway on the narrow north and south arms of the reservoir. Originally surrounded by military bases and agricultural fields, development is creating a mostly urban south portion of the area. However, some U.S. Army facilities do remain in the area:Schofield Barracks, Wheeler Army Airfield and East Range. In fact, Schofield Barracks alone is larger than all of Wahiawa.
